Only have an hour to visit?

Tour the historic Split Rock Lighthouse. For details, visit mnhs.org/splitrock. Hike to the top of Day Hill, sit by the stone fireplace, and enjoy the lake view. Walk the shore at Pebble Beach to see Ellingsen Island and snap a photo of the lighthouse.

Gitchi-Gami State Trail

The Gitchi-Gami State Trail section running from the Split Rock River into Gooseberry Falls State Park is now complete! This part of the longest paved section of the trail passes through Split Rock Lighthouse State Park and ends in Beaver Bay.

Bike Parking

Bike parking is available at the Trail Center within Split Rock Lighthouse State Park or in the lower picnic area lot at Gooseberry Falls State Park. For more information, please call the park office.

Only use approved firewood!

Help prevent the spread of tree-killing insects by burning only approved firewood, available at all Minnesota State Parks.
